In my post on Saturday, I mentioned that another wet weather system was coming Monday night and Tuesday and that Monday should be a “decent day”. It appears now that most of the computer models bring moisture to our area earlier than previously expected. As of now, rain might be knocking on our door as early as Monday afternoon. This is a result of another inverted trough near the Carolina Coast and a low pressure system moving out of the Gulf of Mexico along the frontal boundary to our south and east… The system that brought rain to our area on Saturday brought 1.25 inches of rain to my neighborhood. It rained quite heavily for about an hour. If this pattern continues,¬†predictions of a wet November may be correct for our region. El Nino may be causing this wetter than normal pattern. Today (Sunday) still looks nice, albeit on the cool side. So, that’s it for now. Have a great day and thanks for reading!

Dave, I will ride the bike on Monday and hope to be home before the rain.

Pete, the computer models have been having problems lately, even in the short-term forecast. I guess it’s the type of weather pattern we have been in lately. Last week, the forecast was for a dry and mild mid to late week period and it rained in many parts of SE VA and NE NC. Although, Friday did turn out to be a beautiful day. Tomorrow, the rain will be arriving from the southwest and we’ll see if indeed the rain does arrive during the afternoon as they are saying now. Have a safe ride and take care!
