WE’LL GET A BREAK FROM THE COLD BUT IT WILL BE BACK LATER IN THE WEEK… MONDAY MIGHT BE A BIT UNSETTLED… A BETTER CHANCE OF RAIN SEEMS LIKELY DURING THE MID-WEEK PERIOD

It looks like we will have more sunshine today (Sunday) than we did on Saturday. High clouds filtered the sunshine on Saturday limiting the sun’s ability to melt the snow. However, a lot of it did melt, especially on the roadways. Temperatures stayed in the 30’s on Saturday and they probably will again on Sunday, even with more sunshine. High pressure remains in firm control of our weather. If you have a barometer at home, check it out. The pressure is almost as high as it gets. On Monday, we may see a little rain as warm air from the southwest advances to the northeast. Tuesday should be very mild with temperatures reaching into the 60’s. That will feel nice after this recent cold spell. As the headline states, the warm-up will be short lived. A cold front will be approaching and weather forecasters are expecting a low pressure area to develop along the front over the Tennessee Valley. This should bring us a period of wet weather during the mid-week period. Then, the cold air comes back following that system. Some computer models are indicating that we may have another round of wintry weather on Friday, but it is much too soon to speculate on that.
